Pupil Wellbeing

Without an experience of happiness and a sense of wellbeing in our lives it is difficult to thrive and to become the best we can be. At Claremont Primary we promote a culture where the safety and wellbeing of our children is a collective responsibility.

This will include: Promoting safe practices so that pupils know how to keep themselves safe on the journey to and from school; Supporting children’s emotional needs as appropriate; Having co-ordinated support from a range of external organisations; Building a strong school ethos which empowers tolerance and respect; Holding pupil-led assemblies and “pupil voice activities”; Regularly communicating and involving parents in matters regarding pupil progress, behaviour and pastoral issues; Recognising the backgrounds of individual pupils and their needs; Placing an emphasis on praise and reward and ensuring pupils feel safe while in school.
